• Sundays 1pm-3pm, 1pm-4pm on Oct 18th

• Fee: $275 for 5 weeks

The Instructors

Anne Brummel: Anne has spent the last 7 years on and off playing Elphaba on Broadway in the hit show Wicked, as well as the National Tour. Other National Tours include Evita, The Scarlet Pimpernel, and Funny Girl. Anne has worked at numerous regional theatres, and is currently working on several new Broadway shows that are in development.

Michael Williams, Choreographer: Broadway credits include Wicked, On the Town and West Side Story.

Friends: other Broadway professionals will come in and accompany the students in portions of this workshop.

The Workshops

Week 1: Auditioning 101
We will discuss EVERYTHING you need to know about how to audition. This class will be more information than participation. We will have take home reference materials, and students can take notes.

Week 2: Singing
Students will be prepared with a 16 bar cut of music. We will work on their songs, but also work on strengthening their repertoire. 

Week 3:The Dance
Students will work at understanding how to shine in a dance call. They will dance this week to apply what they've learned and also to get critiqued. Students will receive their "sides" for the following week's class.

Week 4: Acting 
We will work on prepared sides, but throw the dreaded "cold read" curveball in the mix as well.

Week 5: THE AUDITION
This final class will be run like a real audition. We will begin with dance, move on to singing, and then sides. 
The final portion will be an overall review on their progress.
