Susan Fanale, lyric coloratura, hails from Rochester, New York.
Trained at the American Academy
of Dramatic Arts in New York and with Opera Music Theatre
International, she made her operatic debut as Kate Pinkerton in
Madama Butterfly and her New York stage debut off-Broadway in
Moliere’s George Dandin the same year. She has performed
with the New York Grand Opera (Oscar in Un Ballo in Maschera),
Opera at Florham (Zerlina in Don Giovanni, Madame Herz in
The Impresario), Boston Bel Canto Opera (Gilda inRigoletto),
Long Island Opera (Musetta in La Boheme) and as Christine in
the national tour of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s The Phantom of
the Opera. She has sung with the Massapequa Symphony (Mahler
Symphony #4), the Cathedral Orchestra of Hawthorne (Handel’s
Messiah) and The Oratorio Society of New Jersey (Faure’s Requiem).
She also created the role of Charlotte Sweet in the stage premiere
of Gerald Markoe and Michael Colby’s ghoulish operetta Happy
Haunting. Upcoming engagements include a performance with
Mercury Concerts, taking part in the “Great American Songbook”
series, and a lieder recital in Boston, featuring the art songs of
operetta composers Robert Stolz and Ivor Novello.
Susan
teaches all styles and levels of voice students from the aspiring singer
to professionals. She also teaches audition prep. classes and piano. |
