Rachel Chibnik is a graduate of both the University of Scranton
(Bachelor of Science, Secondary Education English/Theatre) and New
York University (Master of the Arts, Educational Theatre for
Colleges and Communities). Throughout school, Rachel acted in many
plays including Arthur Miller's The Crucible (Mary Warren), Luigi
Pirandello's Six Characters in Search of an Author (Step-Daughter)
and William Inge's Bus Stop (Cherie). She explored such disciplines
as Physical Theatre, Commedia dell'Arte, Shakespeare and Theatre of
the Oppressed. In 2007, she attended an Irish Drama Summer Intensive
at the Gaiety School of Acting in Dublin, Ireland, where her
interest in Samuel Beckett and the Theatre of the Absurd first
developed. Since graduating, she has performed in both regional
theatre and off-Broadway productions. Despite her passion for the
stage, Rachel's first love is music, having studied piano, guitar,
trumpet, flute and clarinet. She is also a coordinator for Irish
singer-songwriter, Mark Geary, with experience in music management,
booking, touring and live gig promotion. Rachel is thankful to be a
part of the Garden Street community and looks forward to creating,
learning and growing with the school. |
