Chris has had a love
for the drums his entire life and has been a pro drummer for the
past 11 years. Since the beginning he has played in countless bands
while he developed his technique studying under blues/jazz/rock
drummer Sean Cameron. Chris as been featured playing at CBGB, The
Knitting Factory, Warped Tour, Electric Factory and other clubs and
festivals all over the country.
Chris studied at The Drummer Collective in NYC with the greats:
Jason Gianni, Leroy Clouden, and Pat Petrillo. He continued his
education and was able to learn first hand from Jason Gianni.
In his spare time Mr. Moran has backpacked through South East Asia
studying the life, sounds, rhythms, and cultural feels of the
Orient. In March, Chris cycled across the United States and
adventured across the country; where he sought out and performed
many new sounds.
Chris' teaching styles focus on rudiments (and their practicality
around the set),keeping steady time, independence, playing a heavy
pocket, phils, molding and developing sound with creativity, HAVING
FUN, music history, jamming, field trips and real deal music
business that comes with his expertise as a pro-musician.
