Garden Street Music offers private piano, guitar, voice, violin, drums and bass lessons for children and adults. Our classes are designed specifically for the individual student and consist of music theory, technique, reading music, ear training, improvisation soloing, song writing and much more. We have classes for all ages, styles and levels. Styles include: Pop, Rock, Jazz, Blues, Classical, Opera, Folk, Funk, Bluegrass, Broadway, Contemporary, etc.  Classes are taught by professional and certified teachers with degrees in music and sound recording. They are classically trained and have over 20 years experience sharing the stage and working with The Push Stars, Martin Sexton, Matchbox Twenty, Third Eye Blind, Dave Matthews, and Julian Lennon, to name a few.  They have performed in Madison Square Garden, Carnegie Hall, and Lincoln Center.

Private Lessons for Children and Adults:

Piano:

We offer beginner, intermediate and advanced private piano lessons for children and adults typically started at age 4. We inspire students to learn the piano through traditional and creative techniques that ignite a passion for playing and practicing at home. We incorporate reading music, technique, ear training and songs into each lesson.  You choose the genre and style of music that you desire to learn. Each class is designed specifically for the individual student.

Guitar:

We offer beginner, intermediate and advanced acoustic, and electric private guitar lessons for children and adults typically started at age 8. We inspire students to learn to play the guitar through traditional and creative techniques that ignite a passion for playing and practicing at home. We incorporate reading music, tabs, chords, technique, ear training, improvisation and songs into each lesson. You choose the genre and style of music that you desire to learn. Each class is designed specifically for the individual student. Ages 4 through Adult.

Bass:

We offer beginner, intermediate and advanced private electric bass lessons for children and adults. We inspire students to learn to play the bass through traditional and creative techniques that ignite a passion for playing and practicing at home. We incorporate reading music, tabs, technique, ear training, improvisation and songs into each lesson. You choose the genre and style of music that you desire to learn. Each class is designed specifically for the individual student Ages 10 through 18. 

Voice:

We offer beginner, intermediate and advanced private vocal lessons for children and adults. We also have vocal coaches for professional singers, or singers who are pursuing a singing career on any level. We inspire students to learn to sing by using traditional and creative techniques that ignite a passion for singing and practicing at home. We incorporate reading music, sight singing, technique, ear training, music theory, vocal exercises and learning songs into each lesson. Voice lessons are for everyone, regardless of natural vocal ability. We teach you how to sing correctly, and reach your vocal potential. Ages 5 through adult. vocal evaluation is required.

Violin, Viola & Electric Fiddle:

We offer beginner, intermediate and advanced private violin, viola & fiddle lessons for children and adults typically started at age 4. We have Suzuki violin classes available. We inspire students to learn stringed instruments through traditional and creative techniques that ignite a passion for playing and practicing at home. We incorporate reading music, technique, ear training and songs into each lesson.  You choose the genre and style of music that you desire to learn. Each class is designed specifically for the individual student.

Policies:

Cancellations:

We require 48 hrs notice for any class cancellations.  If you cancel your lesson the day before your scheduled time there will be a fee for half the class. If you cancel the day of your lesson there will be a full class fee applied. We need as much notice as possible so that we may schedule another student in your time slot. Cancellations need to be confirmed in order for you to be removed from the schedule.

If you refer a friend to take a private lesson at Garden Street Music you receive 1 free half hour private lesson in the instrument that you choose. The more friends you refer the more free lessons you earn!
