SELECTED DISCOGRAPHY:

ENGINEER, MIXER, PRODUCER etc.

Dan McLoughlin is a producer, engineer, composer for film and TV and a multi-instrumentalist. He has been in the music business for over twenty years and holds degrees in music and sound recording from Fredonia School of Music, Cum Laude.
He began his producing career in Woodstock, NY at the world famous Dreamland Recording Studio, where he worked with Joe Jackson, Dinosaur Jr, The Mighty Mighty Bosstones and the Breeders, to name a few. From there he went on to work in studios all over the country from The Hit Factory in NYC to Fort Apache in Boston, to Ocean Way in Los Angeles. He honed his skills, going wherever the music led him.

In 1995, Dan made a leap from behind the console and onto center stage as a founding member of The Push Stars. Signed to Capitol Records in 1996, The Push Stars enjoyed a career spanning over 12 years with songs in major motion pictures such as "There’s Something About Mary", "Me, Myself & Irene", "The Devil Wears Prada", and TV shows such as "Malcolm In the Middle" and “Roswell”. The band toured the world including opening tours with artists such as Matchbox Twenty, Julian Lennon, Red Hot Chili Peppers and Martin Sexton.
He kept engineering and producing between tours while continuing to produce albums for The Push Stars. His productions can be heard in several major motion pictures, from “Me, Myself and Irene” starring Jim Carrey, to the outstanding Independent film “Face”, chosen as a special selection at the 2002 Sundance Film Festival. He recently scored “Calling It Quits”, a feature film currently in the festival circuit.
Dan is patient, easy to work with and uses his experience in classic analog recording and his knowledge of the latest in digital technology to create the best possible recording. Having been on both sides of the console, he understands how important the creative environment is to an artist. With that in mind, he built Garden Street Music, a recording studio combining the highest quality recording technology with a wide range of vintage guitars, amps, drums and keyboards for the sole purpose of making creative, great sounding recordings. Dan brings a laid back vibe to any session while making the most of studio time. Above all, Dan loves creating timeless music one project at a ti
me.
